ICT
Our principle aim is to effect progression in ICT for students of all abilities. We strive to cultivate students' confidence in their ability to choose appropriate software tools and develop sensible solutions independently - "to take greater responsibility for their own learning".
Our three modes of progression within this growing autonomy are:
a) assisting students in overcoming unfamiliarity with potentially useful ICT tools;
b) encouraging discussion and formal review of how effectively an ICT tool has been used;
c) helping students become increasingly self sufficient in their selection decisions about when to use ICT tools in order to meet effectively a clearly identified need.
Our students study:

National Strategy for ICT (including additional units of work reflecting the enterprise and performing arts status of the Academy)
Key Stage 4
OCR National First Award; National Award and National
First Certificate in ICT Level 2 (1-3 GCSE equivalence depending on learning pathway)
Sixth Form
OCR Advanced Subsidiary Level GCE in ICT H117
OCR Advanced GCE in ICT H517
