Health & Social Care

Health and Social Care is a Vocational Subject designed to widen participation in vocational learning that can give progression to post 16 courses.

Health and Social Care provides the technical knowledge, skills and understanding within the HSC sectors so as to equip students with some of the skills they will need in the workplace or further education or training

The OCR examination syllabus is currently offered at Key Stage 4.

Students will study three units. :

Unit 1 Investigating Health , Social and Early Years Services
Unit 2. Promoting Health and Well being.
Unit 3 Understanding personal development and relationships.

Units 1 and 2 are assessed with two coursework assignments, giving 60% of their final grade. There is one examination based on Unit 3.
