Examination Results

Abraham Darby Academy is a brand new Academy which opened in September 2008. So there are no previous exam results relevant to the Academy itself.

However the predecessor school - Abraham Darby School - had been the most improved school in Telford and Wrekin in each of the past two years in terms of its GCSE results.

The % of students gaining 5 A* - C rose from 31% in 2006 to 49% in 2008.

The % of students gaining 5 A* - C including English and Mathematics rose from 20% in 2006 to 34% in 2008.

The medium term aspiration for the new Academy would be to achieve 80% students gaining 5 A* - C grades at GCSE in 5 years and as always our target will be to try to exceed our aspirations
